In a Kadai dry roast the fennel seeds, dry red chillies, fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds for 1 minute then grind it. ("Masala Powder")
Heat oil in a non stick pan add drumsticks pieces, stir , cover and cook on low heat for 8 minutes, keep stirring in between, then add salt , turmeric powder, mix it, then remove the drumstick pieces.
In the same pan add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder then add cooked drumstick pieces and mix well , then add jaggery, tamarind pulp mix well and saute for a couple of minutes .
Then add the Masala Powder and cook till it thickens . Cool store it in a dry glass jar .
